This is an old house of more than 40 years. The previous owner was an architect who likes arches, so the doors of the house are mainly arches. In addition, there were serious cracks in the walls due to nearby construction works. The owner tried to fix it several times and couldn’t fix it.
On the other wall, water seeped into the interior because of the previous roof renovation of the house next door. The cracks have also been repaired many times, but repaired cracks age with time, resulting in worse and worse adhesion of the paint, and finally formed obvious convexity out the wall. We scrape off the loose walls and install clay plaster.
The homeowner likes the white colour clay plaster very much, but after discussion, she feels that it can be a little warmer, so we customize the special colour (rice colour) for the theme wall that faces the entrance, and polished by slightly wet sponge.
Originally, we decide to put the same colour (rice colour) on both walls, but we felt that this would make the whole living room feel smaller, so we finally decide just to apply it on one wall and keep the other side. We think that the rice colour may make the guests feel warmer and welcome as soon as they enter the door. In this space, the white clay plaster and white painted walls provide a strong contrast, without being uncomfortable.
這是一間超過40年的老房子，上一個屋主是喜歡拱門的建築師，所以家裡的門主要以拱門為主。另外，因為附近的建築工程而導致牆面出現嚴重的裂痕。屋主補了幾次都沒辦法修好。
另一面的牆壁則是因為之前隔壁家屋頂裝修而導致水從外牆滲進室內。因此裂縫也補了很多次，但可能是因為之前修補後，屋頂還沒修好，所以有滲水的情況，且修補的裂縫隨時間老化，而導致油漆的附著力越來越差，最後形成明顯凸出的牆面。最後只好把松落的牆面都刮除。
屋主喜歡泥土塗料所呈現的白色，但討論後覺得可以多一點點的溫暖，所以在已進入口的主題牆上了試了特調的淡淡米黃色泥土漆，搭配微濕海綿修飾。
原本想說兩面牆都上同樣的顏色，但覺得這樣會讓整個客廳感覺上變得較小，所以最後決定只在一入口就能看見的牆面，添加淡淡的米黃色，而另一面保留了原本泥土塗料所呈現的白色，讓一進門的客人就可以感覺到這間家的溫暖和歡迎。完成後，裂縫處已不再那麼明顯。在這個空間，白色的泥土塗料和白色油漆牆面呈現了強烈的對比，但又不會讓人感到不舒服。
