Clay plasters (泥土塗料）have better humidity regulation compared to lime plaster（灰泥塗料） and other materials!
In this experiment, the relative humidity was briefly increased from 50% at a constant temperature and then decreased to 50% again after 12 hours (Y-axis is water vapour absorption rate, X-axis is time in hours).
Clay Plaster is sensitive to direct or sustained exposure to moisture, therefore we recommend Clay Plaster used indoor.If the environment is long-term humid, for example, the relative humidity is between 80-90% every day, then we suggest applying Lime Plaster.
